Title of the Talk :
Role of Data System Engineering in AI-Driven Healthcare
Abstract of the Talk:
Artificial intelligence in healthcare is only as powerful as the data systems that support it. Data system engineering plays a crucial role in collecting, integrating, storing, and delivering high-quality health data for AI models. From electronic health records and imaging systems to wearables and IoT devices, engineers build secure pipelines that handle massive, diverse data in real time. They ensure interoperability through standards like FHIR and HL7, maintain compliance with regulations such as HIPAA and GDPR, and design data lakes, warehouses, and streaming platforms that enable predictive analytics and clinical decision support. Without reliable data pipelines, governance frameworks, and scalable cloud architectures, AI solutions cannot be deployed safely or effectively. This talk highlights how data system engineering forms the backbone of AI-driven healthcare innovation, powering everything from diagnosis and remote monitoring to personalized treatment and operational automation.
